Support
If you are worried about your baby right now, put the phone down and call a doctor, nurse, or emergency service. Bubbi cannot help with that.
How a session works
- Open Bubbi and tap Start the sound when you put them down.
- Leave the phone about two metres from the cot, never on the rail.
- Pick a sound, then Low, Medium or High. The sound stays at that level.
- Tap Done when you are finished. The times are stored on this iPhone only.
What the noise is doing
There are six sounds: classic white, dark noise, a rhythmic shush, ocean waves, a muffled whoosh, and a soft voice that counts. You pick one, then Low, Medium or High. Medium is about the nursery limit, two metres from the cot. High never goes past 56 dB. A timer can stop it, or you can.
Bubbi cannot measure dBA from the speaker. Placement is on you: two metres, never on the crib. The copy says “about” until a measured speaker reference exists.
Guidance and age
The optional birthday in Settings only changes timing. Without it, Bubbi uses the most cautious band: respond rather than wait. Under six months, Bubbi will not suggest leaving them to cry it out.
Guidance is a suggestion. You decide when to go in. There is no “safe” crying limit in the app, because the evidence does not support one.
The log
A finished play stores the times it ran. Feeds, sleeps and play live in the same log. Deleting the app removes everything on that phone.
Two parents can share one log through an optional account. What that copies is in the Privacy Policy.
App Store review
Reviewers: there is no login. Start the sound, pick one of five, change Low / Medium / High, and tap Done. See also Privacy and Terms.
